Welcome to the Neverendless WoW Connection guide for the Arthas Realm. Arthas requires a WotLK game client at version 3.3.5 (12340). If you are interested in connecting to Deathwing - the Cataclysm 4.0.6 (13623) realm - then please see this guide instead.

The Hamachi application has been known to interfere with the connection to Neverendless. If you are having trouble connecting to Neverendless and have hamachi installed, we recommend removing the application.

If you are new to World of Warcraft or need help installing the game to start playing on Neverendless, here is a step-by-step guide for downloading, installing, patching, and getting started with World of Warcraft.

If you need help then our staff will be happy to help you in the Website Chat if they are available, provided that you have been following this guide so far.

Step 1:Download & Install World of Warcraft

There are three separate ways to download the game client - BitTorrent (you need to know how to use BitTorrent and have a BitTorrent client, the download is already at the correct game version so there's no patching involved), Manually (Use this if you don't want to / don't know how to / can't use BitTorrent), or the Neverendless Game Client Installer.

The Neverendless Game Client Installer
As an alternative to the options below, you may also choose to install using the Neverendless Game Client Installer. This is a simple five-step process that will allow you to quickly install either WOTLK (3.3.5a - Arthas) or Cataclysm (4.0.6a - Deathwing). If you choose this method there is no need to change your realmlist file and you can skip to Step 3 in this Guide once you have completed the download with the installer.

The BitTorrent Download
If you would like to use BitTorrent and are using Windows, you can download the 3.3.5a version of the game from this torrent or this link.
Unfortunately we do not have a Mac version of the torrent so if you're using a Mac please see the manual download instructions.

Once your download has finished, you can move the World of Warcraft folder to another location if you wish. This version of the game does not require installation so it doesn't really matter where you put it.
When you're happy with where the game is located on your computer, open the World of Warcraft folder and right-click on WoW or WoW.exe, select 'Send To' then select 'Desktop (Create Shortcut)'. This will place a shortcut to the game on your desktop, you may rename this shortcut to whatever you wish, we recommend you call it Neverendless but it's up to you.

If you've completed the above then please skip down to Step 2 in this guide.

The Manual Download
If you would prefer not to use BitTorrent, or are using a Mac then read on and find out how to install the game.

If you have already patched to, or installed, version 4.x, you must uninstall the game and reinstall it. If you know what you are doing then it is possible to have both a 4.x version and a 3.x version of the game on the same machine, although this is beyond the scope of this guide.

First - you need to download the game installer, Windows Installer / Mac Installer.
Download the file, (extract it from the Zip file, if you're on Mac), and run it - it may ask you which version you want in which case select Wrath of the Lich King.

Install the game - the installer should be fairly self explanatory.

Once the installation is complete, close the installer and make sure that the game doesn't automatically start patching itself.

Open Wow or Wow.exe in the World of Warcraft, the game will open. Accept the agreements and the login screen will open.
In the bottom left corner of the screen it will show you the current version of your client, something similar to Version 3.0.1 (8874) (Release).
The number in brackets is called the build number, it's like the version number (3.0.1) but a little more precice.

What you need to do now is apply patches to get up to version 3.3.5 (12340). Below are links to lots of different patch files, with the exception of Patch 3.2.0, each patch file contains two version numbers in it's file name - the version it's intended for, and the version it will take you to.
Find the patch file appropriate to your current game version, put it in your World of Warcraft folder, and run it. The patch will apply the neccesary changes and exit, when it finishes it may try to open the default blizzard launcher - close this launcher immediately.
Continue applying patch files until you reach Version 3.3.5 (12340), make sure it is build number 12340 and not 12213 which is also named 3.3.5. Only Version 3.3.5 (12340) can connect to the game server.

The version number is in the bottom-left corner of the login screen. Neverendless runs 3.3.5 (12340).

If a patch file says that it is for version X and you have version Y then you are trying to run a patch out of sequence, check the file names and find the correct patch.

If a patch file says that a certain language folder is missing - enUS, deDE, etc - then you will have to find patches for the language you have installed. This page contains a listing of most of the 3.x patches for various different languages and where you can get them.

After each patch, the Blizzard Launcher will try to open, and it will try to download patch 4.x, you must not allow it to do this

If you installed a language other than US English, these patches will not work, please see this page to find appropriate patches for your language.

Windows Patches
3.x.x to 3.2.0 (10192) - Apply this first if you have a version lower than 3.2.0 (10192).
3.2.0 (10192) to 3.3.0 (10958)
3.3.0 (10958) to 3.3.5 (12340) - This download contains six patches, they should all be applied in order - read the file names to determine which order to run them in.

Mac Patches
3.x.x to 3.2.0 (10192) - Apply this first if you have a version lower than 3.2.0 (10192).
3.2.0 (10192) to 3.3.0 (10958)
3.3.0 (10958) to 3.3.0 (11159)
3.3.0 (11159) to 3.3.2 (11403)
3.3.2 (11403) to 3.3.3 (11685)
3.3.3 (11685) to 3.3.3 (11723)
3.3.3 (11723) to 3.3.5 (12340) - This download contains two patches - 3.3.3 (11723) to 3.3.5 (12213) and 3.3.5 (12213) to 3.3.5 (12340), ignore the file named 'downloader'.

Patch 3.2.0 is a very large patch, and can take a long time to open. If you're really sure it's not opening then try downloading it again.

Once you have Version 3.3.5 (12340) the hard part's over - move on down to Step 2.

Step 2: Change the Realmlist File

Now that you have the game client (if you don't, go back up to Step 1 of the guide) you need to tell it to connect to Neverendless.

If you are manually patching your client, do not attempt to perform this step before you have the correct game version, as applying patches will overwrite any changes you make here.

Open your World of Warcraft folder. If you used the installer this will generally be C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft or C:/Program Files (x86)/World of Warcraft. If you used the BitTorrent method then you should know where you put it.
Inside the World of Warcraft folder should be another folder called Data, the Data folder should contain another folder called enUS, enGB, or another 4 letter language code such as deDE if you installed a different language - open this folder. If you have more than one language folder then repeat these instructions for each.
Inside the language folder you should see a file called realmlist.wtf or possibly just realmlist. You need to open this file in a text editor such as notepad or wordpad.

In the realmlist file should be a number of lines, one of which begins with set realmlist, remove this line and replace it with:

set realmlist realm.neverendless-wow.com

Don't worry about any of the other lines, as long as you change the one beginning set realmlist.

Realmlist.wtf 'Open With'

Realmlist.wtf in Notepad
516x302px 63KiB
Realmlist.wtf in Notepad
405x386px 61KiB

Save the file in the same location with the same name, overwriting/replacing the original file. Be sure to use File > Save rather than File > Save As, so that the file gets saved correctly. If you find two realmlist.wtf files in the folder then you did it wrong.

If you encounter a 'File Not Found', 'File is Read-Only', or 'You do not have rights to modify this file' error, right-click on the file and select 'Properties'. Then, un-check 'Read Only' and press OK. You should then be able to save the realmlist.wtf file successfully.
If you still cannot save the file, you may need to launch notepad or wordpad in Administrator Mode, then File > Open, find the realmlist.wtf file and make the changes.

Step 3: Create & Verify a Neverendless Account

This step is fairly easy, and if you already have a Neverendless account you can probably skip this step.

If your account is quite old you may not have verified your e-mail address - something we have required since April 2011. If you get the message Access to your account has been temporarily disabled while trying to log in to the game then you need to verify your e-mail address.

To create an account on Neverendless, simply go to the website and click 'Register' or click here to go to the registration page directly.

You must read through the Rules & Terms of Service at the registration page before you can continue through the registration process.
Also, you must use a real email address when registering for an account, as you will have to confirm the address before you can use the account - this is for your protection to ensure that you can recover your account password if you need to.

Choosing a password with a varied combination of lower- and upper-case letters, number, and digits can help improve the security of your account.

Never share your password with anyone. STAFF WILL NEVER ASK FOR YOUR PASSWORD. Do not give it out; else, you may lose access to your account. You hold full responsibility for your account.

Shortly after you have completed the registration form, check the email address you used to register.
You will receive an email from Neverendless with a 10 digit verification code.
Copy the code and place it in the E-mail Confirmation box found under your account settings, under Email; you can also click here or on the link provided in the email to access it directly. After you have copied the code, press 'Confirm E-mail'.

When you have confirmed the email address on your account, you will be able to log into World of Warcraft on Neverendless!

Step 4: Log into Neverendless

To play, run World of Warcraft using your new desktop shortcut or by running wow.exe or just WoW from the World of Warcraft folder.
When it loads the login screen, enter the username and password you chose during registration, and then click 'Login'.

When logging in to the game or the Neverendless website, use your Neverendless account name, not your email address (contrary to what it may say on the box).

That wraps up connecting and logging into the Neverendless World of Warcraft server! Welcome, and enjoy being part of Neverendless!
